Every November, Schulich hosts Giving Day — a high-energy, 24-hour campaign that rallies our global community to support student success. Since its launch in 2020, Schulich Giving Day has raised over $1 million, helping deliver exceptional business education, provide financial assistance, and prepare students to lead in a rapidly changing world.

On November 24th, Schulich launched its first-ever Giving Day, a 24-hour virtual engagement and philanthropic campaign inviting the Schulich community alumni, students, staff, faculty, and friends from around the world to come together for a common goal to support our students.
And the response was incredible. Our target was to raise $25,000 from the Schulich community and match it dollar-by-dollar thanks to a generous donation from the Katherine Meaney Svec Estate. We surpassed our target and were in fact able to raise a total of $65,411! Thanks to the amazing support of the Schulich community.
Although physically apart, Giving Day was also an opportunity to engage and connect with the community in the digital era as more people are home. The Schulich community was encouraged to participate in social media challenges including posting a selfie wearing Schulich apparel or answering a trivia question for a chance to win prizes.
On November 18th, Schulich held its second annual Giving Day, a 24-hour impact-driven and student-centered community initiative supporting our talented students. In these challenging times, the global Schulich community joined forces to ensure that current students have the support and opportunities they need to succeed.
Schulich Giving Day established a record one-day fundraising milestone for our School. Thanks to 184 Schulich donors across the globe who participated, we raised $53,691 surpassing our $50,000 goal. In addition, thanks to Schulich alumnus Michael Bigger (MBA ’92) and a private donor, these funds will be matched with another $50,000, bringing the total amount of funds raised to $103,691, which will go toward the Student Support Fund and the School’s Highest Priorities Fund.
On November 17th, members of the Schulich community of alumni, faculty, and staff came together for the third annual Schulich Giving Day in support of Schulich students and the school. The response was overwhelming, raising a total of $189,007 from 217 donors. This is 126% of our campaign goal of $150,000 and our most successful one-day fundraising initiative to date.
The success of this year's event speaks to the power of community, collaboration, and caring ‐ hallmarks of the Schulich DNA. Every dollar donated will have direct and immediate impact, providing financial aid to students in need and delivering world-class learning experiences that will prepare students for their chosen careers after graduation.
Thank you to the Schulich community for making Giving Day a milestone success! With a remarkable $291,607 raised, surpassing our goal by 145% and a record number of 422 donors, this was the most ambitious and engaging Schulich Giving Day campaign to date.
“As a proud Schulich alumna I believe it's important more than ever to invest in tomorrow's business leaders, ensuring they are prepared to thrive in a world whose only constant is change,” said Anna Ewing (MBA '88), Honorary Chair, Schulich Giving Day 2023.
This year, Giving Day focused on two key areas: the Highest Priorities Fund, which provides flexibility for innovative student experiences, including Career Readiness, the Schulich Startups Community, and the Schulich Business Excellence Academy (SBEA); and the Schulich Student Support Fund which offers crucial assistance to students facing unexpected financial challenges and global uncertainty.
Thank you to the Schulich community for making our 5th Schulich Giving Day a milestone success. Together, we surpassed our campaign goal and raised $376,151 with contributions from 467 donors. Even more exciting, this milestone means we've surpassed $1 million raised since we first started Schulich Giving Day five years ago.
This year, Schulich Giving Day focused on Schulich's Highest Priorities Fund and supporting students on their educational journey, helping to deliver exceptional business education, providing financial assistance, and preparing students for career success.
